Lisa Randall écrit très bien, d'un style alerte. J'avais déjà lu son premier livre "Warped Passages" qui m'avait semblé plus "scientifique" avec une description détaillée du "Standard Model" et des idées sur des dimensions supérieures qui sont indispensables à la cohérence de la théorie des cordes (que certains physiciens mettent en doute).
Le présent livre est plus ambitieux et tente une description de l'univers, mais, à mon goût de façon à pouvoir être lu par tout un chacun et donc avec des chapitres entiers qui n'apportent rien à des lecteurs ayant une solide formation scientifique, d'où les 4 étoiles et non 5.
En revanche, ce livre est tout à fait indiqué à des lecteurs curieux ne connaissant pas grand chose à la physique et qui souhaitent une première approche.
